About our director

Malcolm Halliday

Spends much of the year in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, where he continues an active career as a performer, teacher, and choral conductor. Since making Mexico his home, he has contributed significantly to the region’s musical life—working with singers and instrumentalists and serving as Artistic Director of Chorale San Miguel.

Under his leadership, the ensemble presents large-scale choral concerts that range from classical sacred works to contemporary pieces, often performed in collaboration with regional musicians.

Beyond his work in Mexico, Mr. Halliday maintains an active performing schedule in the United States as a pianist, organist, and collaborative artist. His work reflects both artistic excellence and a deep commitment to fostering choral music and cultural exchange between the U.S. and Mexico.
